TLC’s Toby Willis Arraigned On Four Counts Of Child Rape

TLC’s Toby Willis was arraigned on four counts of child rape on Monday, March 13, after appearing before a jury in Cheatham County, Tenn., RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to The Tennessean, The Willis Family star pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Willis was set to appear in court on May 31 after completing psychological testing requested by his attorney Michael Shipman, but the state decided to present its cause to the March grand jury, Circuit Court Clerk Julie Hibbs told the publication.
His trial is set to begin July 18.
As Radar previously reported, the father-of-twelve was arrested last September for the alleged rape of an underage girl.
The warrant obtained from the Muhlenberg County District Court in Kentucky revealed Willis “unlawfully violated the laws of Tennessee having been charged with the commission of a crime (rape of a child) and having fled from justice.”
Willis was picked up by the Greenville Police Department at 3:55 p.m. after fleeing from the state.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations, he had an alleged sexual encounter with an underage female 12 years ago.
Willis’s hit TLC show ran for two seasons before the network announced that it would not be renewed for a third season just days after the star’s arrest. A TLC spokesman called the timing a coincidence, claiming the show’s cancellation had been determined prior to the scandal.
